Thread Tools | edit first post | printer friendly |
Three important changes made today:
- Creating a new thread is now easier than ever, with only one page creation needed
- Editing an existing post is now easier than ever, with a more intuitive user interface to do so
- Threads with more than 15 replies are now automatically divided into more than one page (16 if counting the original post)
I've redesigned the first post slightly. I would like people's opinions on this if possible:
- Should the first post go back to how it was?
- Should the other posts take on this new style?
- Keep the first post looking different to the rest, so it stands out? (What I'm currently considering.)
Some ideas for you to consider |

Should the first post go back to how it was?
Negative.
Should the other posts take on this new style?
Negative.
Keep the first post looking different to the rest, so it stands out?
I don't have a personal opinion yet; however, I have another alternative:
One of the things that is different about ours forums is that in mine, the threads have both description contents and post contents. The description content looks like your posts, that is, they're in a table below the page's title table, but the post content is below the description content, just how your posts are below their post titles. So the post content stands out, but the description content doesn't.
So you've just gone with what I had and turned the "thread" page's content into a description. Sounds like a good idea! :)
Is this site public, so that I can have a look? As you haven't provided a link yet, I'm guessing it's not… in which case, can you take a screenshot? :)
It is public and I have gave links out |

This is it, but I don't think you understand what I've done. What I did was I made two content{n}s in the thread template; one for the description and one for the post, so that if you don't want to have the first post, you don't have to.
